Facciamo un resoconto della situazione attuale così magari agevoliamo chi ti vuole aiutare e non si vuole, giustamente, leggere 5 pagine di post.

Hai due schede video, una integrata della Intel (BusID 00:02.0) ed una su bus PCI-ex della NVIDIA (BusID 05:00.0). Abbiamo provato sia i driver intel (intel), sia i driver nvidia (nvidia) che i driver nouveau (nv) con questi risultati:
Driver intel:

Sezione "Device" di xorg.conf: vuota, autorilevati. Alternativamente questa sezione dovrebbe funzionare ugualmente:

Modulo del kernel usato: i915. Ci sono anche altri, ma il principale è quello.

Risultato: X parte anche se con qualche problema:

Risoluzione video ok ma dici di avere metà schermo nero.

Accelerazione 3d disabilitata perché hai installato i driver proprietari della NVIDIA che ti hanno sovrascritto le OpenGL. Infatti dal log di X:

Conclusione: problemi risolvibili, penso, abbastanza facilmente. Il secondo sicuramente, il primo chiedendo nel forum penso ce la si faccia.
Prove da fare: nessuna. O si decide di usare questa scheda e quindi la si configura bene, oppure si prova a far funzionare uno degli altri due driver.

Driver nvidia:

Risultato: non si capisce, sembra non produrre errori particolarmente gravi e sembra andare tutto, se non fosse che ti ritrovi con lo schermo nero. Alcune cose bizzarre sono:

Gli altri warning nel log di X gli ho visti anche in altri log ma non sembra che pregiudichino l'avvio di X.

La scheda è su una PCI-ex ma il modulo del kernel nvidia si poggia sul modulo agpgart (da lsmod):

Conclusione: non si capisce perché non funzionano!!!
Prove da fare: provare a rimuovere tutti i moduli del kernel che riguardano la scheda Intel, compreso anche il modulo agpgart, e riprovare ad avviare X.

Driver nouveau:

Modulo del kernel usato: nouveau e nvidiafb (lo si vede dall'output di 'lspci -vv' che hai postato qui quando non avevi i driver closed nvidia).

Risultato: errore all'avvio di X:

Conclusione: l'errore probabilmente è dovuto al blacklisting dei moduli del kernel 'nouveau' e 'nvidiafb', infatti dall'output di lsmod non sembrano caricati.
Prove da fare: rimuovere il modulo del kernel nvidia e caricare manualmente sia il modulo 'nouveau' che 'nvidiafb', quindi far ripartire X.

Io direi di provare prima a far funzionare i driver nouveau, visto che comunque dall'output di X sembra che la tua scheda video sia supportata ed io preferisco sempre usare i driver open.

All'avvio del PC senza lanciare il server X, molti dei moduli riportati nel tuo 'lsmod' non dovrebbero essere in memoria, di solito sono auto-caricati da Xorg. In particolare, se il PC è appena stato avviato non dovresti avere il modulo 'nvidia', quindi ti basta caricare a manina i driver 'nvidiafb' e 'nouveau', settare opportunamente l'xorg.conf e far partire X. Occhio che il caricamento del modulo nvidiafb potrebbe dare problemi (generalmente i frame buffer sarebbe meglio caricarli all'avvio).

Non vorrei che il problema sia dovuto al fatto che, avendo attivo anche il driver intel (i915) ed il modesetting, quest'ultimo impedisca ai driver nvidia di funzionare correttamente.
Prova ad avviare il kernel attuale aggiungendo l'opzione "nomodeset".
Se non sai come fare, hai due modi:

Aggiungi una voce append=" nomodeset" nella sezione relativa al kernel che avvi in lilo.conf
Quando avvi il sistema, premi TAB per entrare nel prompt di LILO, scegli l'immagine da avviare e aggiungi l'opzione (per esempio: Slack13.1 nomodeset).

yAri, ricordati anche di rieseguire 'lilo' dopo ogni modifica al lilo.conf. Lo dico perché se non lo fai, almeno in questo caso, non cambia nulla e noi non ce ne accorgiamo.

L'ho avviato. Ho dovuto levare l'altro append perchè dava errore. Ora cosa faccio?

Avviato cosa? Il sistema? X parte o no? Vedi tutto nero o hai visto la luce?

Quale altro append hai tolto? E perché?
Se hai inserito due voci append in lilo.conf è normale l'errore. Di voce append="X" ce ne può essere solo una globale e una per kernel. Per aggiungere parametri, o li aggiungi in fondo alla stringa di una voce append già esistente (separandoli con degli spazi), oppure con la voce add-append="Y".
Leggi il man di lilo.conf per saperne di più.
Ti pregherei, infine, di essere un po' più preciso e prolisso nello spiegare cosa hai fatto e cosa hai ottenuto, perché altrimenti andiamo di lungo altre 15 pagine senza arrivarne in fondo.

Ok scusami per le imprecisioni. Ho avviato il sistema con l'append che mi avete suggerito. X non si avvia. Schermo nero.

Vorrei aggiungere che oggi ho portato il portatile a scuola. Il professore (colui che mi dice sempre di buttare il windows nel cesso e di usare linux) ha detto che in realtà quella dell'intel non è una vera e propria scheda video ma solo un acceleratore. Il problema è che funzionano insieme, i driver invece è solo per la scheda video nvidia.
Ha dato il comando "xorgsetup" che mi ha rigenerato il file xorg.conf Ora è il seguente:

Aggiungo anche che X si avvia solo con il 'Driver "nvidia" ' commentato. altrimenti da sempre la schermata nera. Il professore mi ha detto che probabilmente i driver non vanno bene.

ma se lo commenti quale carica? intel, nv? guarda i log per capirlo
quel che ti ha detto il professore, perdona la franchezza, mi sembrano cose un po' campate in aria. Non so il caso particolare di quel notebook, ma solitamente è esattamente il contrario, nei notebook a doppia vga si usa la scheda intel per le normali operazioni e nvidia/ati quando c'è bisogno di 3d, in modo da risparmiare energia

Hai provato i miei suggerimenti per il driver nouveau? Scarica i moduli, in particolare quello 'nvidia' e carica a manina i moduli 'nouveau' e 'nvidiafb' (ovviamente tutto da console). Quindi modifica l'xorg.conf come ho postato prima, con il driver 'nv'. Quindi avvia X e postaci il suo log. Però ora hai un po' il file di configurazione incasinato. Se ne hai una copia di quello di ieri sarebbe meglio usarne uno che esegua un solo server.

Da come abbiamo visto ieri X in automatico rileva la scheda intel e carica il modulo intel. Se noti il post all'inizio di questa pagina vedrai che probabilmente avendo installato gli nvidia, quelli 'nv' sono inibiti perchè ha blacklistato i moduli del kernel 'nouveau' e 'nvidiafb'. Tu che ne pensi?

Leggendo qui, sembra che il tuo pc necessiti di uno switch via software che spenga intel e attivi nvidia, per funzionare al massimo delle prestazioni.
Leggendo il config del kernel huge attualmente presente in current, sembra proprio che l'opzione CONFIG_VGA_SWITCHEROO sia presente, quindi dovresti poter eseguire i comandi elencati in quella pagina per provare di attivare una scheda o l'altra (quelli con gli echo).

Ricordati che con i driver ufficiali lo switch del chip grafico non è implementato, quindi devi usare i driver nouveau.
