Slackware 12.1 is released as -stable.
Again, huge thanks to everybody
who pitched in and helped with bug reports, patches, testing, suggestions,
other comments, and everything else. Without this valuable input, Slackware
would be nowhere near what it is today. Special thanks to the CREW, to the
people developing and testing for slackbuilds.org (where many of Slackware's
future additions are first built and tested), and to everyone on
linuxquestions.org, various #slackware or ##slackware IRC channels, other
Slackware related web sites, and other places where the community shares their
needs and concerns with the team. On behalf of everyone here, thanks.
We think you'll enjoy this new release, and hope that you'll find it to be
much more than 0.1 better than Slackware 12.0.

eheh.
mi è arrivato il changelog via sms e subito ho postato... volevo essere il primo.
Ho quasi terminato di scaricarla e ho già i supporti pronti per installarla
pat non ha ancora creato la iso... me la faccio da solo

Io invece l'ho beccata dando un bellissimo links (ogni tanto lo do).
A parte che ora ci sono dei ciocchi perche' sembra che pat abbia fatto qualche casino con il php del sito, si possono comunque trovare i torrent qua:

poco fa slackware.com/getslack non funzionava; per questo non ho messo torrent.
comunque ora scaricate tutti da torrent, così facciamo prima (io comunque dovevo scaricare il solo pacchetto che ha aggiornato)

Ho dato un'occhiata alla lista dei pacchetti forniti con la Slackware 12.1 e, come le altre volte, ho notato la mancanza di OpenOffice. E' possibile che si sia deciso di escludere la principale "killer application" del mondo Linux? E per quale motivo?

mitico Pat!!! la 12.1 è finalmente arrivata
ora non mi resta che scaricare ed aggiornare i pacchetti cambiati dalla RC2 che già gira sul mio sistema

OpenOffice non ha mai fatto parte della dotazione standard di Slackware...
