driver nvidia

Salve ho una geforce mx 4000 che ho sempre installato correttamente usando i driver NVIDIA-Linux-x86-96xx fino a slackware 13. Ora sono passato alla 13.1 e installando il driver NVIDIA-Linux-x86-96.43.18 per la scheda video non parte più il server X e precisamente mi da questo errore:
Codice: Seleziona tutto
(II) NVIDIA(0): Initialized GART
(EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to allocate/map the primary surface!
Fatal server error:
AddScreen/ScreenInit failed for driver 0
Come posso risolvere?

Avevo già letto lì ma il problema è che anche cancellando le alte risoluzione mi da sempre lo stesso errore

Did you solve your problem?
I have same with same GF and driver as well, on linux-2.6.35.4 and SLCK 12.2
mb is ABIT nF7S with Barthon 2500 and 1500MB of ram
In My case i suspect on IRQ-s, cause same IRQ share bttv, snd-bt87x and nvidia
I don't have time to rebuild entire hardware to solve this problem, and put in lilo append line long list switches, but they didn't help.
If you have time answer, to try solve problem together, or who got more lucky

Just put "nopat" in boot options
