x11 6.8.2 e DRI su radeon

ciao a tutti....

<BR>ho aggiornato x11 all´ultima versione disponibile ma quando provavo a lanciare qualcosa in cui veniva richiesto il DRI lo schermo si piantava e diventava nero..... downgroudando alla 6.8.1 tutto torna normale.....
<BR>è un bug? a qualcuno è successo qualcosa di simile? <br>

probabilmente è un bug della versione 6.8.2 di xorg visto che non è la prima volta che leggo che la soluzione si ottiene facendo un downgrade alla 6.8.1.<br>

Mah, non so... io al momento ho la 6.8.2 su un IGP 9100 ati con DRI abilitato e non ho nessun problema....

Dunque fai così:

<BR>1) togli completamente il dri e tutto quello che riguarda ati dal kernel
<BR>2) metti l´agp come modulo
<BR>3) scarica i driver da linuxpackage.net
<BR>4) riavvia senza il server X
<BR>5) togli i driver che hai attualmente
<BR>6) installa quelli che hai scaricato
<BR>7) aggiungi questa riga a fstab:
<BR>tmpfs /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
<BR>8) riavvia X
<BR>9) dai il comando fgl_glxgears e posta il risultato
<BR>
<BR>A me funziano (Kernel 2.6.x)...
<BR>Per vedere se ti da Vesa o Ati fai fglrxinfo. Se ti dà Vesa segui il procedimento di cui sopra<br>

Ho ottimizzato un po´ la configurazione, ora ottengo:

Ma a qualcuno di voi va il 3d con i driver ati + xorg 6.7.2??
