ciao a tuttti, ho comprato una nuova epson stylus cx 3650 con scanner e fotocopiatrice incorporati.. l'ho installata da cups e stampa perfettamente.. ma come posso usare lo scanner? devo installare qualche cosa? ci sono dei programmi apposta?

EDIT: ho letto l'how to qui di slack, facendo sane-find-scanner mi dice:

come posso fare? aprendo xsane mi dice che non trova nessun dispositivo.. sigh sob..

ho gia detto che non va neanche con quello..

Leggi bene la documentazione di S.A.N.E. , alcuni scanner necessitano di alcuni file aggiuntivi (firmware) per funzionare bene.

ho letto che sane ha biosgno di front end e back end, ma non so dove trovarli. qualcuno sa dove prenderli?

Come vedi viene rilevato, su internet ho trovato questo:

The Scanner of the CX3600 / CX3650 can be used if u choose the
Sane-Backend for the CX3200, works perfectly.


Per configurare Sane leggi bene il manuale

man sane

e piu' specificatamente

man sane-usb
man sane-epson
Troverai la descrizione della procedura per far funzionare il tutto.
Riguardo a backend e frontend la slack ha gia' tutto di serie

grazie, ho provato a leggere, ho modificato il fine /etc/sane.d/epson.conf, ma scanimage -L continua a non darmi risultati, mentre sane-find-scanner si.. che posso fare?
