Ho installato audacity sulla mia slack 10 (nuova fiammante).
<BR>Il software, però, non "vede" il device I/O e, quindi, è muto.
<BR>Non capisco cosa debbo settare (tutto il resto - cinelerra/kino/mplayer/ecc. vanno senza problemi)

ho riscontrato il tuo stesso problema, ora cerco un po´ in giro per capire come si può risolvere... nel caso l´avessi già risolto... beh, fammelo sapere :-]

se vi consola ho lo stesso problema, ma una volta funzionava!

Io avevo risolto settando "Nessun input/output audio" dal centro di controllo di kde.
<BR>Ma siccome ci tengo ai suoni di sistema, preferisco usare ReZound.

sto provando ad installare audacity perché curioso di provarlo..
ho installato anche libsndfile e libFLAC,
però quando provo a far partire audacity ottengo questo errore:

Se può essere utile...
Ho installato Audacity, ma identico tuo problema.
Scaricato il sorgente e compilato, idem come sopra.
Cercato in giro, ma nulla che risolvesse.
Al che mi accorgo che un chmod su /dev/dsp, finisce con un dsp sconosciuto
Giro un pochino su Slacky e magicamente
.... Come ho fatto a non pensarci prima?
Ho il kernel compilato e non avevo abilitato queste, che "paste" da un'altro thread illuminatore:
Attiva le seguenti opzioni nella configurazione del kernel:

Problema risolto, ora riesco a usare anch'io Audacity.
